A NEW ARCHIVE FOR WOODLANDS

Raelene Goddard, who plays Nurse Wilson (pictured above with Howard Atkin who plays the main role of Cooper) in the next production of woodlands Drama Group "A Month of Sundays" by acclaimed comedy writer Bob Larbey, has been very busy over the last few months compiling a new Archive of the history of the group.

The original archive was lost and it was decided to try to rebuild it. Raelene bravely volunteered for the task, and she feels it is appropriate that she has this task as she was born in the same year as the group! Raelene appealed to members of the group to lend material and the response was fantastic-Raelene is still sorting through it now. The group is lucky that three of the founder members still belong to the group so material is available right back to the earliest productions in 1969.

The new archive now contains over 100 photos (some of which can be seen on this website) and many newspaper articles and programmes. With old material still to be added and new items still to come from this, the group's 117th production, the archive is set to grow and grow.

If anyone has any material relating to past Woodlands productions which you think may be of interest you can email them to Archive@raelene.co.uk
