I enjoy drama because of the variety it brings. Every play is different. I love the team sprit that is involved in putting on a performance and have found that I get as much of a buzz from helping out backstage as appearing on it.
My Drama Experience
Over the last few years I have played a huge variety of roles ranging from ships prow to mayors wife, from mouse-like and downtrodden girlfriend to sophisticated widow intent on marrying the man that her old school rival adores, and from sexy nurse to grey haired and stern politician. More recently I have tried my hand at directing, firstly with Polly Teale’s Bronte in 2009, and Peter Shaffer’s Equus 2011.
Away From Drama
My other main hobby, photography, has become intertwined with my work for Woodlands and I now take many of the publicity photos. This has given me some fun opportunities, most notably taking photos of the cast on the rollercoaster and other rides courtesy of Flamingoland, and being privileged to take photos inside the Bronte Parsonage Museum . I also enjoy travel and listening to local bands with friends.
